Garrett plays drums for a band from Dallas Texas called The Background. He has endorsement arrangements with Shine Custom Drums and SilverFox Drumsticks. Garrett previously played with bands, Stalled and Page 9.  Stalled won the U.S. national Virgin Megastores Battle of the Bands in 2007, and the opportunity to meet with Virgin executives and representatives of Immergent Records in Los Angeles. They were also a finalist in the NAMM Texas Battle of the Bands and the University of North Texas Battle of the Bands sponsored by the University of North Texas, the Texas Music Project and the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. Last year, Garrett was invited to the NAMM Music Convention in LA as a Shine Drums artist.
